The MTN Bushfire Festival is one of the most iconic music festivals in Africa; it brings together a diverse lineup of artists and showcases a range of music genres. It’s held annually at the scenic farmlands of the Malkerns Valley (House On Fire) in eSwatini (Swaziland). The festival is 3 days of non-stop music, interactive art installations and a vibrant camping atmosphere. 2027 will mark a milestone 20th anniversary for Bushfire.

2027 MTN Bushfire Festival dates: 28 – 30 May 2027 (20th edition)

We provide a dedicated Bushfire Festival camping package, which includes: Festival ticket, BYO camping ticket (camping inside the official festival BYO campsite), daily breakfast, stretcher bed + mattress and bonfire sessions.

3m x 3m Dome Tent (2 people): R7850 per person

3m x 3m Dome Tent (1 person): R9850

3 nights of camping; campers will check-in on Friday 28 May and check-out on Monday 31 May 2027. Solo travellers are welcome – you’ll meet cool people at our campsite.

Tickets: Tickets for the 2027 MTN Bushfire Festival are expected to go on sale around October/November 2026, keep an eye on the Bushfire social media pages for the announcement.

Can I come alone?

Yes, you can join a group trip by yourself, with friends or with a partner.

What kind of people usually sign up for these trips?

There are different kinds of people [read characters] who sign up, but it’s usually young, open-minded adventure seekers.

I'm not in Johannesburg, can I join?

Yes, we can arrange flights from many corners of the world.

Is there a payment plan?

Secure your spot with a non-refundable deposit, then pay the balance in monthly installments, or pay in full.

Is there insurance provided?

No, please arrange your own travel and personal belongings insurance.

Will I share accomodation?

Yes, accommodation is shared = 2 people per room. But you can also request a single room (at an extra cost) if you prefer
